Construction cranes and lane closures everywhere you look- it’s hard not to notice the growth and development occurring across the valley these days. Like it or not our population here in southwestern Idaho is expanding rapidly. But how did we get to this point?
Dr. Todd Shallat, tenured professor of Urban Studies and Community Development at BSU and prolific author (his latest work is “Half the World: Refugees Transform the City of Trees” was released this spring) guides us through the development of the valley’s land, economy and culture over the past 30 years.
Join us Tuesdays at 3pm on Radio Boise at 89.9 FM or 93.5 FM in the Treasure Valley. Or stream us online at http://www.radioboise.org.
